Week 1 winner!
Nov 5, 2018

We are happy to announce that we are running a Catch the Ace progressive raffle!

We put 52 cards into 52 envelopes, shuffled, numbered from 1 to 52 and locked them in a display case. Nobody knows where the Ace of Spades hides.

Each week, $5 tickets are for sale from our club members. A single weekly winner is drawn, winning the weekly cash prize and a chance at the jackpot. The weekly winner picks an envelope. If it holds the Ace of Spades, they win the jackpot and the raffle ends. Otherwise, we throw away the card they picked and continue for another week.

If, after 35 weeks, we haven’t got a grand prize winner, we will keep drawing tickets until somebody gets the prize.

Draws are regularly scheduled for Monday evenings at 7:00 at Agincourt Recreation Centre. Watch this space for special holiday scheduling.

Proceeds will stay in Toronto. Our very short list of candidate recipients includes the Lions Foundation of Canada. LFC’s mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them Dog Guides. To do this, the Foundation operates Dog Guides Canada, a preeminent national training school and charity that assists individuals with disabilities through specialized Dog Guide programs. These Dog Guides are provided at no cost to eligible Canadians from coast to coast despite costing $25,000 to train and place. The Foundation relies on donations from individuals, service clubs, foundations and corporations and does not receive any government funding. In addition to assisting people who are blind or visually impaired, Dog Guides can be trained to provide assistance for hearing deficit, autism, service, seizure response, diabetic alert, and traumatic situation support.
